Call for LOCAL Artists
Columbus Dance Theatre presents
Dancers Making Dances CREATIVE COLLAB
October 16–18, 2026
Columbus Dance Theatre (CDT) is seeking two visual artists to collaborate with on our upcoming production Dancers Making Dances Creative Collab—a powerful weekend of performance exploring socially relevant themes through movement, sound, and visual art.
This unique opportunity invites creatives to submit work that will inspire CDT choreographers as they develop original dance works. Selected visual art will also be featured in CDT’s on-site gallery, and the chosen collaborator will be credited and promoted across our platforms.
Opportunities for Artists:
Your work will be featured on CDT’s social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, & YouTube).
Visual art will be displayed and available for sale during the performance weekend.
You’ll receive free admission to all shows, plus 1 complimentary guest ticket.
An honorarium will be provided.
2024: Live painting during our performances by local visual artist, Mack Paints
Performance Dates:
October 16 at 7:30PM
October 17 at 7:30PM
October 18 at 3:00PM
Location: 592 E. Main Street, Columbus, OH
The selected artist must be available between September 15 and October 18 to visit the studio and collaborate with choreographers. Collaboration sessions may be scheduled Tuesday through Friday between 1:15–3:30 p.m. or Saturdays between 3:30–6:00 p.m.
How to Submit:
Please email info@columbusdancetheatre.com with either a single piece or a portfolio of your work by SEPTEMBER 1, 2026.
